Court Hearing – Appeal £495 + VAT
Appeals involving cases not previously handled by Motor Lawyers
The Appeal Service covers any cases, not previously handled by Motor Lawyers, which have already been concluded in the Magistrates’ Court and where an appeal is to be made against either a conviction or punishment.
The fee covers all work undertaken to include drafting and lodging Notice of Appeal, liaising with the Magistrates’ Court with a view to obtaining suspension of any disqualification imposed (pending the outcome of the appeal) and all preparation for the hearing in the Crown Court.
Motor Lawyers will review all paperwork relating to the original case, discuss the matter with you fully and provide you with a detailed advice in relation to the prospects of the appeal, tactics and any further work to be undertaken.
Barrister Service
If you require representation at Court, a Barrister’s fee will be charged in addition to our set fee.
We will negotiate the Barrister’s fees on your behalf and approve same with you prior to instructing the Barrister. Motor Lawyers
obtain preferential rates when instructing Barristers.
Whilst their fees will vary according to experience, location and the complexity of the case, for straight forward attendances in the Magistrates’ Court, you should expect a fee from £250 + VAT.
Even in the most complex cases, the fee should not exceed £500 + VAT.
The fee agreed will include presentation of the case, all preparation and reading time on the part of the Barrister, any pre–hearing discussion with you, travel time and waiting time.
As with ourselves, the amount of the fee is agreed in advance.
There are no hidden costs.
Please note, that if you require representation at more than one hearing, the Barrister will charge a fee for each attendance
